maido!
maido translates into a casual 'hello' in Japanese.
maidoindia started its operations in September 2007 with its mission of 'bringing Japan closer' to India. Its journey started with import of Food products for 5 star Hotels and restaurants, leading to the growing popularity of Japanese cuisine in Mumbai.Gourmet stores started stocking authentic Japanese Food and Beverage products from maidoindia. It was time to celebrate, time to call the 'drinks'. Sake was introduced to Mumbai with the launch of the Sake club of India. Many caterers wanted Japanese cuisine to be a part of their events for which we offered support and expertise, and many saw the Sushi Conveyor Belt for the first time going round with freshly prepared Sushi.
Today Japanese food
is the 'talk of the town' with Newspapers, Magazines, Celebrities all wanting a bite of this healthy, simple yet exotic cuisine.
So, Kampai to the people of India and Japan and we look forward to bringing Japan closer to you....
